Terms of Use for In-Person Residency Registration

By registering for the in-person residency portion of the Data In Paradise BootCamp, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Travel and Legal Responsibilities

1. Flight Arrangements: You are solely responsible for purchasing your flights to and from Phuket, Thailand. The program does not cover any travel expenses.
2. Travel Requirements: You understand that travel requirements, including visas and vaccinations, may vary based on your country of origin and residence. You agree to research and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Local Laws: You agree to adhere to the laws of the host country (Thailand) and any local laws in Phuket, Thailand.

Residency Policies

4. No Animals Allowed: Animals are not permitted in the residency accommodations.
5. Restricted Items: Durian and mangosteen fruits are strictly prohibited in the residences.
6. Medical Considerations: If you have medical conditions that may limit your participation, you agree to consult your physician before attending.
7. Health Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your health and well-being while attending the residency.
8. Special Needs Disclosure: You agree to disclose any relevant health, mobility, communication, or safety needs at least 14 days before the residency begins.

Tuition and Attendance

9. Non-Attendance: If you fail to arrive at the residency, your tuition and fees are forfeit.
10. Cancellation Policy: Canceling the in-person residency after April 10th will result in the forfeiture of the additional residency expense.
11. Switch to Remote: If unable to attend the in-person residency, you may switch to the remote-only version by notifying the program before the start of the remote portion.

Remote BootCamp Attendance

12. No-Show Policy: Failure to attend the first week of the remote BootCamp without communication will result in being dropped from the program.
13. Withdrawal Policy:

• Withdrawing during the first two weeks of the online portion will result in a 50% refund.
• Withdrawing after March 14th will result in the forfeiture of all course fees and expenses.

Liability Waiver

14. Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge and accept that participation in the residency may involve physical activities and travel-related risks, including but not limited to illness, accidents, injuries, lost belongings, or death.
15. Personal Responsibility: You agree that the program, its staff, instructors, and affiliates are not responsible for any accidents, illnesses, injuries, lost belongings, or other incidents during your participation in the residency.
16. Insurance: You are encouraged to obtain travel and health insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.

General Terms

17. Force Majeure: The program is not liable for interruptions or cancellations due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, or travel restrictions.
18. Program Changes: The program reserves the right to modify the schedule, curriculum, or residency details as needed. Participants will be notified promptly of any changes.
19. Code of Conduct: You agree to maintain respectful behavior toward fellow participants, staff, and the local community. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the program without refund.

By completing your registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms of use. Non-compliance with any of these terms may result in forfeiture of your participation and associated fees.
